Jeremiah 45:2-5

New International Version

² “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to you, Baruch: ³ You said, ‘Woe^(A) to me! The Lord has added sorrow^(B) to my pain;^(C) I am worn out with groaning^(D) and find no rest.’^{(E) 4} But the Lord has told me to say to you, ‘This is what the Lord says: I will overthrow what I have built and uproot^(F) what I have planted,^(G) throughout the earth.^{(H) 5} Should you then seek great^(I) things for yourself? Do not seek them.^(J) For I will bring disaster^(K) on all people,^(L) declares the Lord, but wherever you go I will let you escape^(M) with your life.’”^(N)
